3mm M12 Lens with for 1/2.5" 4MP sensors such as OV4689 and AR0341

Wide Angle 3.2mm M12 Lens

The CIL332 is a 3.2mm wide-angle all-glass M12 lens for up to 4MP 1/2.5" sensors. The low F/1.8 and all-glass construction makes this lens great for security and robotics.

Frequently asked questions

What sensors work with the CIL332 3mm M12 lens?

The CIL332 supports 1/2.5 inch sensors up to 4MP at 2.1μm pixel pitch, including the OmniVision OV4689 and ON Semiconductor AR0341.

What is the field of view of the CIL332?

The CIL332 covers 111 degrees across the 5.8mm image circle. Its actual image circle extends to 7.2mm, so it can illuminate slightly larger formats with edge vignetting. You can calculate exact coverage at field of view calculator

Is the CIL332 available with IP67 sealing?

Yes. The M12B variant is IP67 sealed. You should order CIL332-F1.8-M12B660 for daylight-only use or CIL332-F1.8-M12BNIR when the system needs NIR sensitivity.

What distortion does the CIL332 3mm M12 lens produce?

The CIL332 measures -15% F-Θ distortion at 6.8mm. That level is normal for a wide 3mm M12 lens, and it works well for security and robotics but not for measurement.

Which lens holder fits the CIL332 on board-level cameras?

The Commonlands CLA018 lens holder fits the CIL332 on most board-level M12 cameras. e-con Systems boards need a 13mm tall mount.

Does the CIL332 ship same day from Commonlands?

Yes. Orders placed before 12 PM PST ship the same day from our San Diego warehouse. Contact Commonlands if you need volume pricing on the CIL332.

The CIL332 is a 3.2mm wide-angle M12 lens for 1/2.5" sensors up to 4MP at 2.1μm pixel pitch. Sensors like the OmniVision OV4689 and ON Semiconductor AR0341 are good matches. The fixed F/1.8 aperture gives the lens enough light for security cameras and robotics systems that work in mixed lighting.

The CIL332 gives you 111° across the 5.8mm image circle, and the actual image circle extends to 7.2mm. Distortion measures -15% F-Θ at 6.8mm, which is typical for a 3mm-class M12 lens. That tradeoff is fine for room monitoring, security, and robot navigation, but you should move to the CIL337 or CIL340 if the application cares more about geometric accuracy than raw coverage. You can compare coverage at field of view calculator

The lens uses all-glass elements in an AL6061 aluminum barrel, and the full assembly weighs 8g. The glass construction handles temperature swings better than plastic-element designs, which matters in outdoor and automotive installations. Two mechanical variants are available. The M12A version is the standard package, and the M12B version adds IP67 sealing.

You should order CIL332-F1.8-M12B660 when the system only needs visible light and a 660nm IR cut filter. You should order CIL332-F1.8-M12BNIR when the system needs day-night operation or NIR sensitivity. The lens is mechanically compatible with e-con Systems boards that use a 13mm tall mount, and it also works with Allied Vision Alvium, FLIR Blackfly S, iDS uEye XLS, The Imaging Source, and Basler Dart cameras through the Commonlands CLA018 lens holder.

All in-stock units ship the same day from San Diego when you order before 12 PM PST. Volume pricing is available. Contact engineering@commonlands.com if you need STP files, mechanical drawings, or application guidance.
