The CIL083 has -0.5% TV distortion. This is low enough for barcode reading, dimensional measurement, and machine vision inspection without needing software distortion correction in most applications.
Is the CIL083 weatherproof or IP-rated?
No. The CIL083 M12A variant does not have ingress protection. For outdoor or washdown environments, consider the CIL078 or CIL079 IP67-rated 8mm M12 alternatives.
