Is the CIL384 IP69K rated for automotive exterior applications?
Yes. The CIL384 carries an IP69K rating with a sealed all-glass, all-metal barrel that is meant for high-pressure washdown, dust ingress, and automotive temperature cycling.
How much distortion does the CIL384 have at -36%?
The -36% barrel distortion is significant, but that is normal for a 3mm-class automotive wide-angle. Surround-view and ADAS systems usually correct it in software, and you should look at CIL329 or CIL327 if lower distortion matters more than coverage.
