Häufig gestellte Fragen

What sensors work with the CIL820 2.1mm M7 lens?

The CIL820 fits 1/4 inch sensors up to 2MP, including the ON Semiconductor AR0144. Its 4.5mm image circle covers the full 1/4 inch format with margin.

How much distortion does the CIL820 have?

The CIL820 has +16% F-Theta distortion, which is pincushion distortion. That level is normal for a wide 2.1mm M7 lens, and machine vision measurement work will usually need software correction.

Is the CIL820 compatible with e-con Systems cameras?

Yes, but the fit is not direct. The CIL820 uses an M7 mount, so e-con Systems standard S-mount boards need the Commonlands CLA021 adapter.

What is the difference between CIL820-F2.7-M07A650 and CIL820-F2.7-M07ANIR?

The CIL820-F2.7-M07A650 version includes a 650nm IR cut filter for daylight color imaging. The CIL820-F2.7-M07ANIR version ships without a filter, which is the better choice for NIR illumination or multispectral work.

How small is the CIL820 M7 lens?

The CIL820 weighs 1.0g and has a 10.9mm total track length. That size makes it one of the smaller wide-angle options for embedded vision and IoT hardware.

Does the CIL820 ship same day from the US?

Ja. Commonlands versendet vorrätige Gläser noch am selben Tag aus San Diego, Kalifornien, sofern die Bestellung vor 12 Uhr PST eingeht.

The CIL820 is a 2.1mm M7 lens for 1/4" sensors like the ON Semiconductor AR0144. It gives you a 108° field of view at the 4.5mm image circle, so a tiny sensor still sees a lot of scene. At F/2.7, the lens passes enough light for proximity sensing, gesture recognition, and compact surveillance modules that usually run in the 1–2MP range.

The 2G2P design resolves 1–2MP, which matches the sensors most M7 systems actually use. Distortion is +16% F-Θ, so you are trading geometric accuracy for coverage. That trade works for occupancy detection and presence sensing, but measurement work will need software correction.

Construction uses two glass elements and two polymer elements in an AL6061 aluminum barrel. The lens weighs 1.0g, and the 10.9mm TTL keeps the package small enough for tight embedded layouts. You can Calculate your field of view to confirm coverage on your sensor.

The M07A variant is available as CIL820-F2.7-M07A650 with a 650nm IR cut filter or as CIL820-F2.7-M07ANIR without a filter for NIR work. The lens works directly with D3 Engineering camera modules. The Commonlands CLA021 adapter lets it fit e-con Systems boards, and the CLA022 gives you a dedicated M7 mount solution.

Commonlands ships in-stock parts same day from San Diego before 12 PM PST. Commonlands MTF tests 100% of these lenses under its ISO 9001:2015 quality system. You can contact engineering@commonlands.com for volume pricing or custom optical requirements.
