Häufig gestellte Fragen

What sensors are compatible with the CIL122 12mm M12 lens?

The CIL122 supports 1/1.7 inch sensors resolving 8-12MP at 1.85μm pixel pitch, including the OS08A10 and AR0821. Its 9.3mm image circle covers those formats with margin.

Does the CIL122 support IR and visible light simultaneously?

Yes. The CIL122 is IR corrected, so visible light and 850-940nm NIR light focus to nearly the same plane. That makes it a good fit for RGBIR sensors and day-night systems that need both bands to stay sharp.

How much distortion does the CIL122 have?

The CIL122 keeps distortion under 2% TV at the 9.2mm image circle. That is low enough for most machine vision work, and many systems can use it without software correction.

What cameras work with the CIL122 12mm M12 lens?

The CIL122 works with e-con Systems S-mount boards, Allied Vision Alvium, FLIR Blackfly S board-level cameras, iDS uEye XLS, The Imaging Source M12, and Basler Dart cameras. The Commonlands CLA024 lens holder is the standard mounting option.

What is the CIL122 image circle and resolution?

The CIL122 produces a 9.3mm image circle and resolves 8-12MP at 1.85μm pixel pitch. That combination fits modern 1/1.7 inch sensors well. You can estimate working-distance tradeoffs at depth of field calculator

Does the CIL122 12mm lens ship same day from the US?

Yes. Orders placed before 12 PM PST ship the same day from our San Diego warehouse. Contact us if you need volume pricing or MTF test data.

The CIL122 is an IR-corrected 12mm M12 lens for 8MP to 12MP sensors in 1/1.7" format, including the OS08A10 and AR0821. It uses a fixed F/2.4 aperture, weighs 7g, and throws a 9.3mm image circle that covers the full sensor diagonal with margin. This is a practical focal length for corridors, doorways, and conveyor sections where you need reach without going narrow.

The CIL122 keeps distortion under 2% TV at the 9.2mm image circle. That level is usually low enough that machine vision systems can skip software correction and still hold geometry well enough for barcode reading, object detection, and many gauging tasks. The 43° field of view is easy to work with because it gives coverage without the perspective exaggeration that short focal lengths add. You can match it to your sensor at field of view calculator

The optical design uses nine glass elements in an AL6061 aluminum barrel, and the first surface uses BBAR coating to cut reflections. IR correction keeps visible light and 850-940nm NIR light on nearly the same focal plane, which matters for RGBIR sensors like the OX08B40. The system stays sharp across spectral bands without a refocus step.

The M12A variant ships with or without a 650nm IR cut filter. You should order CIL122-F2.0-M12A650 for daylight-only systems, and you should order CIL122-F2.0-M12ANIR for NIR applications. The lens works with e-con Systems, Allied Vision Alvium, FLIR Blackfly S, iDS uEye XLS, The Imaging Source, and Basler Dart board cameras through the Commonlands CLA024 lens holder.

All in-stock units ship the same day from San Diego when you order before 12 PM PST. Every unit is 100% MTF tested at our ISO 9001:2015 facility. Contact engineering@commonlands.com if you need volume pricing or Trioptics MTF test reports.
