What sensors work with the CIL461 varifocal zoom M12 lens?
The CIL461 supports 1/2.7″ sensors at up to 2MP with 3μm pixel pitch. It covers a 6.6mm image circle across the full 6mm-42mm zoom range.
How much optical zoom does the CIL461 provide?
The lens gives you 7X optical zoom from 6mm to 42mm EFL. That is true optical zoom, not a digital crop.
Is the CIL461 zoom lens compatible with FLIR Blackfly S or Allied Vision Alvium cameras?
No. The CIL461 barrel is too large for direct mounting on FLIR Blackfly S, Allied Vision Alvium, and iDS uEye LE boards. It works with e-con Systems standard S-mount holders in the 8-10mm range and the Commonlands CLA019 holder.
What is the distortion on the CIL461 at the wide end?
At 6mm, the CIL461 is specified at -10% F-Theta distortion. That is acceptable for surveillance and monitoring, but it is not the right answer for measurement work.
Does the CIL461 M12 zoom lens ship from the US?
Yes. Orders placed before 12 PM PST ship same day from the San Diego warehouse.
Can the CIL461 be motorized for remote focus adjustment?
Yes, but you need to ask for it. Contact Commonlands engineering at engineering@commonlands.com about motorized versions, because the standard CIL461 is manual zoom with focus lock after adhesive mounting.
