200° Stereographic Fisheye M12 Lens for 1/3" to 1/2" Cameras

200°@5.8mm Fisheye-Objektiv

The CIL273 is an automotive-grade M12 fisheye lens. The lens is IP69K and has stereographic projection to increase magnification off-axis, resulting in less "fisheye" effect and a more natural looking image.

Frequently asked questions

What sensors does the CIL273 support?

The CIL273 supports 1/3.2\" to 1/2\" sensors, resolving 3–5MP at 2.1μm pixel pitch.

What is the CIL273 image circle and field of view?

The CIL273 covers a 5.5mm image circle. Field of view varies by sensor size: 112° at 3.0mm, 157° at 4.5mm, and 198° at 5.8mm image circle. Contact us for accurate FoV calculations — the standard calculator has a known error for stereographic lenses.

What does IP69K mean on the CIL273?

IP69K is a higher ingress protection rating than IP67. It certifies the lens can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature water jets — suitable for wash-down environments in agriculture, automotive, and industrial settings.

Is a NIR or no-filter version of the CIL273 available?

No. The CIL273 is only available as CIL273-F2.0-M12A650 with a 650nm IRC filter. A NIR or filterless version is not currently offered.

Does the CIL273 ship same day from the US?

Orders placed before 12 PM PST ship same day from our San Diego warehouse. Contact us to confirm stock, as CIL273 availability fluctuates.

Which cameras are mechanically compatible with the CIL273?

e-con Systems S-mount boards are compatible with a 5–7mm tall holder. Allied Vision Alvium, FLIR Blackfly S board, iDS uEye LE, and The Imaging Source M12 are not mechanically compatible without a custom adapter.

The CIL273 is an automotive-grade stereographic fisheye M12 lens with a 1.3mm EFL and F/2.0, designed for 1/3.2" to 1/2" sensors. At 4.3g and 14.7mm TTL, it's a compact form factor for a lens that covers a 5.5mm image circle at up to 198°. The glass+plastic optical design keeps weight down while hitting 3–5MP resolution at 2.1μm pixel pitch.

IP69K is the standout spec here. That rating means the CIL273 can handle high-pressure water jets — the kind of wash-down conditions found in agricultural equipment, vehicle wash systems, and industrial automation. Most M12 fisheye lenses stop at IP67. If your application involves continuous exposure to water pressure or high-temperature steam cleaning, the CIL273 is worth specifying.

Stereographic projection at +30% F-Θ gives the CIL273 that characteristic of preserving more detail at high field angles. The field of view is quoted at three image circle sizes: 112° at 3.0mm, 157° at 4.5mm, and 198° at 5.8mm — use the FoV calculator to match your actual sensor size. Note that the FoV calculator has a known error for stereographic lenses; contact Commonlands directly for accurate off-axis values.

Only one variant is available: M12A, shipped as CIL273-F2.0-M12A650 with the 650nm IRC filter. No NIR version is offered. Mechanical compatibility is limited — e-con Systems S-mount with a 5–7mm holder is the main supported option. Allied Vision Alvium, FLIR Blackfly S, iDS uEye LE, and The Imaging Source are not mechanically compatible. Ships same day from San Diego before 12 PM PST. Contact our optical engineers for volume pricing or STP files.
