190° Stereographic All-Glass Fisheye M12 Lens for 12MP 1/1.7" Sensors

The CIL293 is an all-glass, IP67-rated stereographic fisheye M12 lens with a 1.3mm EFL and F/2.2, built for 1/1.7" sensors up to 16MP. It uses eight standard glass elements plus two molded glass aspheres (8G + 2MG) — that asphere count is what makes stereographic performance achievable at 190° while still hitting 1.55μm pixel pitch. At 25g, it's heavier than typical M12 lenses, which is the expected cost of all-glass construction.

The 5.4mm image circle produces a circular fisheye on 1/1.7" sensors in 4:3 format — useful for applications that need the full hemispherical view without cropping corners. Stereographic projection at +25% F-Θ means edge magnification is preserved relative to equidistant designs. Combined with the 11° chief ray angle (CRA), this lens is matched to back-illuminated sensors with microlens arrays tuned to that range. Sensors like the IMX226 and AR2020 are in the sweet spot.

The M12A variant is IP67-sealed with an AL6061 barrel and BBAR coating on the first surface. Order CIL293-F2.2-M12A650 with the 650nm IRC filter or CIL293-F2.2-M12ANIR for NIR applications. Camera compatibility is broad: Allied Vision Alvium, FLIR Blackfly S board, The Imaging Source M12, Basler Dart, and iDS uEye LE (Rev1.1 direct; Rev1.2 requires PN ending in "C-NO"). e-con Systems S-mount boards work with an 8–15mm tall mount.
